The instructional program at Malcolm Tweddle School follows the program of studies set out by Alberta Education as interpreted by the Edmonton Public School District. Our students receive a planned program in the following areas: language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, music, art, and health. All grade four, five and six students receive second language instruction in French or Mandarin.
A variety of teaching strategies will be used to ensure that all students have the opportunity to work individually, in small groups and in cooperative learning situations in the classroom setting. Teachers believe that each student is a unique individual with his/her own strengths and weaknesses. Within this context, students are expected to do their best work at all times and take responsibility for their own learning. Students in our regular program work in a fully inclusive environment, utilizing the latest resources and technology.
My Child’s Learning / Apprentissage de mon enfant, is an interactive digital resource which provides parents with the most up-to-date information about what their child is learning, resources to help their child and how their child might be assessed for every subject and grade.
